What is CrossFit?
The methodology of CrossFit differs from typical fitness programs in that our classes don’t just focus on one modality or muscle group. Each class incorporates a variety of movements, all of which are intended to train and condition your body.
The CrossFit mantra is “We scale load and intensity, we don’t change programs” (courtesy of CrossFit, INC.). This means that everybody can do every workout. With the wide range of movements that CrossFit incorporates, we have alternatives that account for mobility limitations, age limitations, strength limitations, etc. When you walk into Honey Badger CrossFit, you can be confident knowing that you will be doing the same workout as seasoned, veteran crossFitters.
We’ll be the first to admit that CrossFit is a hard program, for everyone, no matter how long you’ve been at it. But the environment encourages one to “embrace the suck,” thus building stronger athletes, with stronger minds. You’re not only training and strengthening your body, you’re teaching yourself to be unafraid of the unknown. We promote a positive, encouraging environment that helps our athletes grow individually, but also as a group and a family.
